	In 2000
	Casa de Vilacetinho is praised and awarded in the Wine & Gastronomy Fair of Marco de Canaveses. In that same year, the Municipal Chamber of Marco de Canaveses writes to the Gastronomy Festival of Santarém regarding the presence of the wine Casa de Vilacetinho saying ‘’that the public opinion is unanimous in considering that the wines produced by Casa de Vilacetinho as an incontestable added value to the winemaking traditions of this region’’, statement corroborated by the Tourism Region of Serra do Marão.

	In 2001
	Casa de Vilacetinho is awarded the Silver Medal in the competition promoted by the Comisssão de Viticultura da Região dos Vinhos Verdes (CVRVV). In that same year it is also awarded as it is considered to be the best ‘Vinho Verde’ of the Region of Marco de Canaveses.

	In 2003
	The vineyards are awarded with a Gold Medal in the competition promoted by the Comisssão de Viticultura da Região dos Vinhos Verdes (CVRVV) to the best vineyards of the region.

	In 2004
	The wine Casa de Vilacetinho 2003 is attributed by the competition promoted by the Comisssão de Viticultura da Região dos Vinhos Verdes (CVRVV) with a ‘Verde’ Honour Medal and with the award of excellence to the wines of small production to the ‘Vinho Verde’ Casa de Vilacetinho Selected Harvest 2003. In that same year, the Rotary Club of Vila Verde awards two Gold Medals to both wines Casa de Vilacetinho 2003 and Casa de Vilacetinho Selected Harvest 2003.

	In 2007
	The vineyards are once again awarded with a Silver Medal in the competiton promoted by the Comissão de Viticultura da Região de Vinhos Verdes (CVRVV).

The final years of the sixties, by which time the vineyard was in full bloom, were among the most important for this Quinta. Vilacetinho received awards at various international competitions, in particular a gold medal in what was then the republic of Yugoslavia in Ljubljana, the former state of Slovenia.

Also during the sixties, Vilacetinho was often requested for wine-tastings at important events such as one held at Lisbon International Fair (FIL) which can be seen in some of the documentation in the Commission governing the sector. On 13 July 1965 Vilacetinho achieved yet another honour: an official letter from the laboratory of the National Wine Board announced that “to publicise vinho verde in the Portuguese pavilion at the Rio de Janeiro exposition a display case had been designed to exhibit bottled wines”.

The request was made for the urgent delivery “of two bottles of each of the brands that had received gold or silver medals at the III National Competition of Bottled Wines”. Vilacetinho Branco was one of the fourteen brands requested which proves that this wine had received an award at the event. On 24 January 1972 Francisco Girão and Casa de Vilacetinho informed the Viticultural Commission of the Vinho Verde Region of the following: “With reference to your letter of 12 January […] I hereby inform you that I have already delivered to your offices two bottles, fully labelled, of the wine I wish to register with the I World Wine Competition to be held in Budapest”. As such he asks them to consider this preliminary registration. On 29 May the National Wine Board confirmed the arrival of a case from Vilacetinho containing three bottles which would be entered in that competition. In practice, as per a letter sent on 19 May, this meant that Francisco Girão’s registration had been accepted. In order to make it official he had to pay twenty-five dollars to the Bureau des Expositions, Ministère de l’Agriculture et de l’Alimentation, Budapest, Hungary, by making a deposit in an international bank account as per the reference indicated.''
